Samsung Galaxy Gear Smartwatch Price/Review/launch

Samsung one of the world's biggest maker of smartphones, is all set to give Apple a tough competition again by launching its first Smartwatch Galaxy Gear yesterday in Berlin which will be available in market for users by this end of September at priced around $300.

Galaxy Gear isn't just a cool device that complements the Note 3 [smartphone]—I believe it will become a new fashion icon around the world," J.K. Shin, head of Samsung's mobile communications business said at the launch event in Berlin.

He said the device could eventually pave the way for the smartwatch to become a part of daily life, in the same way that smartphones—once seen as a niche luxury product—broke through to become a mainstream producers. Users who buy both (smartwatch and galaxy Note 3)devices will be able to read messages, check the weather and take photos on the smartwatch, which will be synchronized to the smartphone and which will run on Android software.

It has 1.6-inch screen and weighs 2.6 ounces.
It is embedded with 1.9 megapixel camera.
Built-in speaker that allows users to conduct hands-free calls.
It is preloaded with more than 60 apps, including a step-counting pedometer and S Voice, a voice-activated app akin.

Program to check whether the given string is a Palindrome

Writing a program is a common thing if you are a CS students and in the beginning its very difficult some times to write the programs .. Hence we thought to share some basic programs which is quit useful for you all while writing assignments or practicals.

Here sharing a program to check whether the given string is a Palindrome . If you are thinking what is it then Palindrome is a string, which when read in both forward and backward way is same.
Example: radar, madam, pop, lol, Malayalam

Explanation with example for making it easy to understand.

To check if a string is a palindrome or not, a string needs to be compared with the reverse of itself.
Consider a palindrome string:"radar",

To compare it with the reverse of itself, the following logic is used:
0th character in the char array, string1 is same as 4th character in the same string.
1st character is same as 3rd character.
2nd character is same as 2nd character.

i'th character is same as 'length-i- 1'th character.
If any one of the above condition fails, flag is set to true(1), which implies that the string is not a palindrome .
By default, the value of flag is false(0). Hence, if all the conditions are satisfied, the string is a palindrome .
